The staff of PC World en Español announces the 100+ finalists to this year’s PC World Latin America Awards . Selecting the finalists between so many excellent products nominated in each of the 28 competing categories was a challenge this year.

“This year we received 220 nominations from 33 companies. And some categories received much more nominations than the rest, for example, Best security Software, Best Digital Video, Sound and Imaging Device, Best Storage Media and Best Projector, amongst others. The selection process was a very difficult one”, says Elinet Medina, Vice-president of Editorial of IDG Latin America, and added: “In order to make a better selection of the finalists, we decided to split the Best Projector category into two sections: Projector for Business and for Projectors for Entertainment”.

In the end, the total number of finalists was 103.

Historically, PC World en Español markets these top products as a Buying Guide, publishing the finalists in the regular edition of the magazine in Print in September, and in online in the popular pcworldenespanol.com site, as soon as they are announced. Readers always welcome the pre-selection of the editors as a short guide to the best when planning their IT buys for the last quarter of the year.
